The Lake City Police Department strives for continual quality improvement. Employees are sensitive to the needs of the public, and are sworn to adhere to the highest ethical standards of conduct.
The Lake City Police Department consists of the following: Chief of Police, three captains, four lieutenants, 11 full-time patrol officers, five dispatchers two narcotics officers, and two school resource officers at Lake City High School. The department also provides bike patrol, community police officers, police cadets, explorers, Citizen Police Academy, three DARE officers, Citizen Ride Along Program, and county-wide 911.
